Cellma has gone live in Nova Medical Centre’s Dialysis Unit, Trinidad. The centre is aiming to be the biggest private dialysis centre in Trinidad with forthcoming plans to expand current service capacities. The recent implementation of Cellma at Nova Medical Centre will provide the dialysis unit with a complete end-to end electronic and paperless healthcare system.

Modules that have gone live at the centre include Cellma’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR), Patient Administration & Scheduling (PAS), Finance, Stock and Pharmacy modules. This will provide the centre with a complete electronic healthcare platform from which to manage services at the dialysis unit more safely and efficiently.

By implementing these modules, the Medical Centre will realise the following benefits:

  • Improved Data Quality
  • Reduced duplication of effort
  • Enable flexible working
  • More efficient patient care
  • Improved patient access and communication
  • Improve patient safety and reduced clinical risk
  • Increase in activity without increasing headcount
  • Automation of reporting

During the project, RioMed has worked closely with the Medical Centre to tailor Cellma to the dialysis unit’s own specific requirements. This has included the set-up of medical centre-specific interfaces with the dialysis unit’s current accounting and bedside dialysis monitoring systems. RioMed has therefore provided the unit with a completely integrated and efficient healthcare system.
