In this blog we would include how Cellma can assist in streamlining the process using the referral management module to aid in improving the Occupational Health and Safety protocols at the workplace.

Key to proper Occupational Health and Safety protocols at the workplace is the ability to prove that the employee is Fit to Work. In order for this to be proven, employees are referred to authorised Occupational Health and Safety practitioners either contracted by the said place of employment or privately run. Some of the reasons as to why an employee may be referred to such practitioners for any of the following reasons:

• As previously stated to prove fitness to work (this can be done as a beginner employee or anytime during the time of employment as the company may seek to assess that the work being done and the environment in which that work is being done does not affect the health of the employee.
• As a response to illness or continued absence from work, an examination may be done to verify “sick leave” for the employee.
• As a response to continued absence from work due to accident or any incident resulting in sick leave
• Any health issues affecting attendance at work, performance or behavioural.

Cellma’s Referral Management module allows for managers or HR professional to submit either a customised form or request via email to Occupational Health and Safety service or in some cases self-referral can be managed through our referral portal. Once the referral form/request is submitted, it would be assessed, logged and an appointment would be created for the requesting party based on what services they require.

Documentation

All available forms, letters and documentations are customised specifically for the organisation and stored within Cellma for easy access from the medical professional.

Patient History

The patient’s history which includes all:

• Medications taken
• Assessments and Investigations conducted by doctor/doctors
• Doctor’s notes
• Blood results
• Vitals

Any medical actions recorded during the patients visit is included in the patient’s summary thereby allowing the Occupational Health practitioner to review previous visits or history of illness/absence.
