According to the HealthWatch UK report, easy access to healthcare is a major concern of the public. The report warns that they risk a “two-tier health and care system”. Unless the NHS takes necessary steps to tackle the access issues. 

The report has examined ten key areas, including GPs, dentists, hospitals, and social care. Based on the experience of 65000 patients. While the NHS provides good support, the research found that accessing this support is challenging for the public.

• Financially comfortable people have free or discounted access to private GP appointments through their work compared to less economically comfortable citizens. 
• People with better or higher paying jobs tend to have more workplace and health-related benefits.
• At some NHS, people with a weak financial background, especially the young working class, are advised by the NHS staff to pay for private care.

This report clearly shows how the better or financially stable part of the public receives healthcare system benefits through workplaces and other connections. Still, the financially frail section needs help accessing the required treatments and financial benefits.
