The Siparia District Health Facility is one of three district health facilities under the South West Regional Health Authority- (SWRHA). SWRHA is the southern regional health authority of Trinidad and Tobago and aims “to promote wellness and supply cost-friendly, patient-focused healthcare to the people of the South-West.” Under its remit, SWRHA oversees the administrative, managerial and clinical actions of the San Fernando General Hospital, San Fernando Teaching Hospital, Area Hospital Point Fortin, the Princes Town District Health Facility, Couva District Health Facility , Siparia District Facility and 33 other health, outreach and extended care facilities.
Cellma’s Pharmacy, Stock Control and Patient Registration & Scheduling modules were deployed on the 16th of March, 2020 at the Siparia District Health Facility – a new community hospital under the umbrella of the South West Regional Health Authority. The project was led by Colin Kowlessar – Lead Project Manager and Ronald Nicholas – Supporting Project Manager. Shivana Balkaran (Support Specialist) and Leah Mohammed (Head Trainer) conducted training workshops with the staff of the site. It is estimated that through use of Cellma, 2500-line items would be dispensed every week at the site
