Healthcare organisations are dealing with a lot of pressure due to the spread of COVID-19.
RioMed understands the need of this hour and stands along with healthcare organisations to tackle this pandemic. We have decided to accept this new challenge to keep patients safe and healthy. It is important to support patients, especially the senior citizens and those with low immunity by providing them with adequate care at home where they are not exposed to the deadly virus.
RioMed delivers virtual care to control infectious diseases including COVID-19 from desktops as well as mobile apps. Virtual care helps to improve access and assists in mobilizing health care, bringing clinical resources to the hotspot locations hit by the disease outbreak.
Patients, especially the elderly, can access remote care and consult clinicians virtually. Our apps and portal have chat functionality that enables patients to interact with healthcare professionals in real-time. Patients can order their regular tests from home with the help of our patient app. Clinicians on the front lines are also kept safe from the highly contagious virus and supported with the help of virtual care; enabling healthcare providers to screen patients and virtually assess the ones with COVID-19 concerns. This helps in reducing patient/clinician contact in hospitals and curbing the spread of the virus.
RioMed flagship software Cellma contains iPROMs which assists in analysing COVID-19 risk by collecting clinical data through the completion of PROMs (Patient Reported Outcome Measures) and PREMs (Patient Reported Experience Measures). The patient can simply answer a COVID-19 risk assessment and patients’ response will be analysed via iPROMs facilitating the remote monitoring of symptomatic patients, i.e. out of hospital, and can significantly reduce the number of follow-ups required for routine procedures. Questionnaires are automatically generated and sent out by iPROMs to patients. The questionnaires are disease specific and are tailored and defined by the healthcare professionals. The questionnaires can be accessed by a variety of devices including personal apps, computers, tablets, PCs or kiosks. Based on the questionnaire, if the infection is suspected in the patient then the emergency measures can be taken immediately to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 by isolating the patient and continuing with the required treatment.
