Digitisation: Free up space at your practice

Digitisation of medical records has been helping both doctors and patients in managing their health records. Doctors can now be confident that patients’ medical records are safely stored in a digital format and can be quickly retrieved, reviewed, and referred.

2. One patient, one record. There is less likelihood of losing, misplacing, or mixing-up your patient records if they are digitally stored. There are several checks that must be done before records can be accessed. Hence this would save record duplication.  
3. Role based access: There is less likelihood of having records altered or tampered with. Cellma modules allow only strictly authorised users, e.g. clinics, doctors, and patients, to view the patient records from devices that use Cellma application or portal. 
4. Sharing records externally: Authorised clinics and doctors can have this super-efficient technology of accessing and sharing their patients’ history and records anywhere, anytime, with other clinics or doctors easily and accurately facilitated, whether locally or internationally. 
5. Digitisation: Digitising means accurate, immediate, detailed input of all the patients’ histories recorded. Errors due to illegible writing will be reduced. Cross-referencing to other departments and fellow physicians will be clearly read and understood. 
6. Faster processing: Administrative staff, nurses, and orderlies should now have more quality time to spend with patients, as the tedious task of locating physical files and then re-filing them will be virtually eliminated. Effective and efficient patient management should also mean a greater footfall through the establishment, which would translate into a better profit line. 
7. Cost Savings: As digitisation takes predominance in the health-sector of Trinidad and Tobago, this will also lead to cost savings due to less usage of electricity, paper, and storage. This type of cost-management should reflect profitably on the practice. 
8. Reporting: With digitisation, reports are easily generated whether for internal use or local government use, reports can be accurately generated. This will also aid in macro and micro-management. 
9. Security: Digitisation adds another dimension to security in that pertinent information is safely and securely stored. Loss of patient records, financial records, and so forth, due to fire, riots, vandalism, and other unplanned disasters, would be of less concern to any establishment or patient. 
10.
