The new dashboards are quite a game changer. I have not seen any other software that brings live real-time mass data reports so quickly to your fingertips
DR. A – CONSULTANT ANAESTHETIST – UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL SOUTHAMPTON NHS FOUNDATION TRUST
All adult orthopaedic surgeons at University Hospital Southampton NHS’s (UHS) Orthopaedic Department have successfully been set-up with a ‘Patient Reported Outcome Measures’ (PROMS) service. A dynamic dashboard reporting facility is additionally being set up by each speciality to enhance their existing PROMS service. This new functionality will provide surgeons with an interactive tool set displaying real-time visual data and powerful insights into surgical services and performance.
Surgeons at UHS Orthopaedics department will now have access to a superior and automatic input of graphical reports from their user-defined PROMS questionnaires. Complete with drill-down functionality, dashboards will be used to clearly display key information such as number of appointments per year, and sorting of appointments by type or patient demographics.
The new dashboard capabilities will drive captivating graphics and rapid dashboard movements to each surgeon, allowing for faster data-driven decisions based on real-time information. This will realise immediate improvements in the daily decision making processes at the Orthopaedic department, raising standards associated with the quality, safety and efficiency of patient care at the hospital.
The Clinical Dashboards offer the following features:
The Orthopaedic department consists of 23 surgeons, operating across 5 specialities: shoulder, knee, hip, hand and foot. Since 2012, iPROMs has been used to collect PROM data from orthopaedic patients who register and complete a set of questionnaires at day 0 (day of surgery) ,as part of their pre-operation routine, and at various time points post-surgery. Using our expertise we have worked closely with the service manager and the team of consultants to define and customise each questionnaire and dashboard. In addition to UHS Orthopeadic’s service, provision of iPROMs software by Riomed has been implemented to Mosaic Orthopaedic Care, a private clinic based at Spire Southampton Hospital, and to The Hand Clinic, a private clinic based in a number of locations across the south of England.
