With RioMed’s headquarters in Southampton, UK, and a regional office in Port of Spain, Trinidad. There was room for expansion and growth, around 2014-15, the idea of expanding gained traction, and after some research and study, an office was established in the World Trade Centre in Pune, India. The hiring process began with a total of nine employees. The India office soon expanded, and the current employee count is approaching 90, a tenfold increase in the last six years and the highest among all offices. Initially, the India office was established to support the operations of the UK office. The team started to grow and, it now caters to a wide range of business functions, including software development, configuration, testing, ISO auditing, and also business development, Marketing, and Customer support for almost 22-24 hours a day and 6 days a week. The resources began to align with one another, with expertise and great management collaborating with raw talent to produce an efficient workforce that is now part of the RioMed family. The higher-level management at RioMed adheres to the philosophy that raw talent should be properly groomed to meet the demands of the industry. RioMed rewards perseverance with professional support and appreciation.
Our Managing Director is a visionary who has visited India several times to analyze the market and boost employee morale. Previously, India relied on a paper-based approach for data management in medical institutions, but during the covid-19 phase, the need for adapting to technology emerged, and a paperless approach was seen to be adopted. The Indian medical market is distinct from that of the United Kingdom; government policies differ significantly, with less reliance on technological resources. It was a difficult task to introduce our world-class software solution, Cellma, into the Indian market, but the team was determined. We are proud to highlight that Cellma is now being used at the prestigious Bharati Hospitals and Research Centre (BHRC) in Pune. This was the most significant achievement, but there is no turning back now. Cellma is widely used in hospitals and maternity homes in India. RioMed’s business in India is expanding with numerous large projects in the pipeline.
